How the CalorieGram Team researches, writes, reviews, and corrects the articles on our blog.

Who writes our articles

Articles on the CalorieGram blog are published by the CalorieGram Team, the people who build the CalorieGram app.

We write about everyday nutrition: understanding food labels, macros, vitamins and minerals, meal planning, and what new research means for ordinary eating.

How we research

We start from primary and authoritative sources: government nutrition databases and guidelines (such as USDA FoodData Central and NIH Office of Dietary Supplements fact sheets), and peer-reviewed research.

Every article lists the sources it relies on. When studies disagree or evidence is early, we say so.

How AI is used

We use AI tools to help find recent research and to draft articles. A person on our team reviews every article, checks its claims against the cited sources, and edits it before it is published. Nothing is published automatically.

Nutrition values on CalorieGram food pages come from our food database and are typical averages per 100 g.

What we will not publish

Our articles are general wellness and education. They are not medical advice and do not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. We do not promise weight-loss results or recommend specific supplements or medicines.

For a medical condition, pregnancy, an eating disorder, or medication questions, talk to a doctor or registered dietitian.

Corrections

If you find an error, email support@caloriegram.ai with the article link. We review every report, correct the article when needed, and update its "last updated" date.
